Figment DMX

Advanced lighting control software for Palm OS handhelds puts the power of a console in the palm of your hand.

The Figment DMX software package is a DMX lighting control and troubleshooting tool that runs on Palm OS compatible handhelds.  To connect your Palm handheld to a network of DMX-based lighting fixtures, you must use a "Sidewinder DMX Interface".  The Sidewinder (also made by Interactive Technologies) has been discontinued.

Even though the hardware portion of the Figment product is no longer available, the Figment program itself and it's library files are still available for download from our web site in order to support the thousands of customers who are using the Figment and Sidewinder solution.  Please visit the Figment Downloads section for a list of available downloads.

Looking for a Stand-Alone Playback device?  The Sidewinder with Figment software were great at being able to store a simple show and play it back upon request.  Check out our more modern and vastly more capable CueServer product family for the "new" way to store and recall lighting shows.  CueServer has more faders, timers, I/O features and architectural capability than Sidewinder ever had.

Looking for a DMX Diagnostic or Remote Focus Tool?  The Sidewinder with Figment software was a great combination for running diagnostic tests when troubleshooting DMX problems or performing remote focus operations.  Our current strategy is to port parts of the Figment software to the iPhone and iPod Touch platform to do many of the same things with our Mini CueServer product.  You can already use CueServer from the iPhone's Safari web browser for some basic remote focus tasks, but we're working on a native application that takes it to the next level.  Stay tuned for future product announcements.

What is Interactive doing about software and library support?  We are not actively developing or improving the Figment DMX software or the Sidewinder firmware, however, we will be supporting additional fixture library support through the end of 2009.
