Hi All, I am going to try and hook up four motion sensors to the Cueserver to trigger some sound and light, has anyone had success with this and have any tips and/or info on particular sensors to aim for/avoid? Any help appreciated...
Accepted AnswerBrett MillerOffline0Hi Tom,
This is Brett with Interactive Technologies. CueServer users do exactly what you are describing all the time. Just make sure you are using a CueServer model that includes contact closures, and make sure you purchase a sensor that is capable of closing a dry contact (short to ground). You can program the contact closures to initiate any event or function that CueServer is capable of. The CueServer 2 Pro and DIN models are the only ones that can output audio directly.
I hope that answers your question. Please let us know if you need anything else!
Accepted AnswerTom CutlerOffline0Many thanks for this Brett! I'll have a play. Could you tell me what the maximum amount of universes i can output in standard DMX512 from a cueserver 2 is? And can it output SACN or ARTnet? Also, I have just ordered a Cueserver 2 with the base 2 universes, can I purchase more from you and update it without sending it back? Thanks!
Accepted AnswerGeorge DejmalOffline0Tom,
The amount of traditional DMX universes CueServer 2 can output varies by model. The DIN model (CS-940) outputs 2 DMX universes (while having 2 inputs). The rack mounted Pro model (CS-900) has 4 configurable ports with exchangeable DMX modules (see attached photos). CS-900 can be configured to have any combination of input and output modules, including 4 outputs. Keep in mind that the CS-900 comes with NO modules by default. They need to be ordered separately based on your individual needs.
All CueServer 2 models can output and receive sACN, Art-Net, KiNET v1/v2. Click here to see all specs.
Additional universes can be added after the purchase of your CueServer (up to total of 32). Please submit a PO to us with desired number of universes to 'orders AT interactive-online.com'. See your price list for details. You will receive a unlock code that you will use in CueServer Studio to add the purchased universes.
Hope this helps.
